Sr. Software Developer/Architect (Trading Systems/Trade Automation)

We are seeking a very skilled developer who loves to solve problems quickly, work directly to support equities traders and loves to built automation.**

The candidate will be a full stack engineer with experience in architecture, microservices and real-time front-office trading systems. The right candidate will have a background in .Net with excellent C# or F# skills. Candidate should have 10+ years of experience in software development. Experience in HFT platforms and Algorithmic Trading through various ultra-low latency messaging protocols is a plus.

Tasks will encompass building reusable stream-based, pub-sub, and protocol (tcp/udp) microservices that combine message bus, distributed cache, and other PAAS (Platform As A Service) components to build out a resilient real-time, interconnected products to provide value to our internal equities traders and external clients. Candidate will work alongside other developers, collaborating on the various layers of the software development lifecycle.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
  • Be part of the Front Office Engineering Team and collaborate with the team in coming up with innovative concepts and ideas.
  • Help buildout and automate workflows in our automated eco-system that encompasses Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment.
  • Focus on continuously using IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and DaaS capabilities for the Enterprise.
  • Build out Front Office Trading Systems.
  • Help architect and integrate trading algorithms against real-time trade data.
Secondary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
  • Help develop and improve front-end UX components that integrate with back-end data-feed microservices.
Job Requirements:
  • Design architecture for messaging, microservices, and middleware that integrates with various thin and thick clients.
  • Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
  • Maintain code integrity and organization.
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
  • Understand architecture philosophies that define today’s data rich applications.
  • Experience with cloud message APIs.
  • Knowledge of FIX Messaging Protocol is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Trading Systems is a plus
  • Exposure to Visual Studio Team Services Online and Git or similar project management and source control systems.
  • Versed in (RIPP) Rapid Iterative Production Prototyping / (RAD) Rapid Application Development best practices or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated.
